SAN FRANCISCO – Listen for three leaders of credit unions here to talk up the credit union difference live on public radio station KALW 91.7 FM in August.

Lynn Athens, CEO of Spectrum Federal CU; Diana Dykstra, CEO of San Francisco Fire CU; and Shirley Krohn, board chairwoman of Spectrum, will appear on the program, "Your Legal Rights," on public-radio from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. on August 2, 2006.

Sponsored by the California Bar Association and hosted by Chuck Finney, San Mateo County deputy district attorney, the hour-long program will feature a half-hour interview with the three guests, followed by a half-hour in which calls are taken from listeners.

"I believe everybody, even volunteers, can play a role in promoting credit unions," Krohn said. "I appeared on this show a few weeks ago, and thought it would be a good venue for getting out the credit union message."

The show also will be streamed live on the Internet at www.kalw.org. Copies of the program will be available on CD for $15 from the radio station. KALW is a public radio station provided by the San Francisco Unified School District.
