First Flight Federal Credit Union, Cary, N.C., recently cut the ribbon on its Mortgage Center as local dignitaries and chamber members welcomed the credit union to the community. Maggie Larson, vice president mortgage loan consultant, and President/CEO Al Fallon cut the ribbon before inviting attendees into the new facility. First Flight’s real estate products include traditional first mortgages as well as adjustable rate mortgages, construction and lot loans, and interest only mortgage loans. First Credit Union, Tucson, Ariz., celebrated the grand re-opening of its North Tucson office recently. The Tucson Metropolitan Chamber of Commerce joined the CU for the ribbon cutting ceremony, along with several First Credit Union board members and staff. The new office provides a full range of services, including night depository and an ATM. Financial Resources Federal Credit Union, Bridgewater, N.J., has opened its new branch in Somerset. The new location will serve the greater New Brunswick market. Franklin Township Mayor Brian Levine, President/CEO Lena Matthews, Chairman Peter Bruno, and Branch Manager Alyse Karasik attended the ribbon cutting ceremony. The ribbon, made of U.S. currency, was donated to the Enlightenment Learning Center, a private, nonprofit agency providing services to low-income families of Somerset County. Veridian Credit Union, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, recently opened its new full-service branch in Cedar Rapids. This will be the CU’s fourth branch in the Cedar Rapids area. This branch will feature a full line of personal financial services, including real estate loans, auto loans, consumer loans, safe deposit boxes, deposit and new account services, drive-up ATM, night depository and a multiple-lane drive-up. Toledo Area Community Credit Union, Perrysburg, Ohio, recently broke ground on its fifth branch. Scheduled to open this fall, the branch is located in Perrysburg Township in the Levis Commons complex. The Levis Common building dcor is reflective of TACCU’s brand image, and will feature a warm and welcoming environment with open spaces. The 4,000 square-foot branch will feature an Internet Resources area with a coffee bar, a children’s play area, drive-thru service and a free ATM for its members. The branch office is being designed by SSOE and the general contractor is Willson Builders. STCU Credit Union, Springfield, Mass., recently opened a new branch location in the Westfield Shops. Members of the CU’s board and others participated in the traditional ribbon-cutting to mark the start of operations. The Westfield office of STCU occupies approximately 2,500 square feet adjacent to Big Y’s Westfield store. The office includes five teller positions including one handicapped position, a night depository, ATM facilities, a conference room, loan service office and member reception area.
