WASHINGTON – Credit union development educators and community development credit union executives will each spend two weeks in each other's credit unions learning from each other as part of a partnership between the National Credit Union Foundation and the National Federation of Community Development Credit Unions.

The National Credit Union Foundation coordinates the credit union development education program and the Federation is the industry voice for the majority of the nation's CDCU's.

Federation Executive Director Cliff Rosenthal described the exchange program as inspired by the principles of the Peace Corps, with a difference. "We see this as very much a two-way process, with Development Educators bringing to CDCUs their skills in areas such as marketing, financial management, and compliance, with CDCUs in turn bringing to other sectors of the movement their specialized market intelligence in serving low-income populations," Rosenthal explained.
