BASKING RIDGE, N.J. – The Credit Union Mortgage Alliance Network has appointed Daniel von Schaumburg as the CUSO's president, effective immediately. Prior to his appointment, von Schaumburg worked for more than 18 years for Affinity FCU, one of CUMAnet's member CUs. He began working for the credit union as a part-time employee in the mortgage/home equity department and, after graduating from Roger Williams University, held various management positions. For the last six-and-a-half years, he served as vice president of lending for CUMAnet. According to the CUSO, von Schaumburg "plans to focus on the needs of CUMAnet's client credit unions and their members, with an emphasis on the development of new products and services that will help the alliance maintain a competitive advantage within the mortgage lending industry." In addition to Affinity FCU, CUMAnet is also owned by Greater Alliance FCU and Proponent FCU. It serves more than 50 credit unions.
