T&C Federal Credit Union, Bloomfield, Mich., celebrates 70 years of business this year. In 70 years, T&C has grown from one branch to nine branches, with a 10th opening this month. T&C works hard to exemplify the credit union philosophy of "people helping people." Security Service Federal Credit Union, San Antonio, celebrated 50 years of service to its member-owners on May 7. In the CU's first year, 467 members joined, 118 loans were made and assets were $20,000. Now, SSFCU has 580,000 members and $3.8 billion in assets, and is the largest credit union in San Antonio and the 10th largest in the nation. Dover Federal Credit Union, Dover AFB, Del., has announced that its assets now top the $200,000,000 mark, making it the second largest CU in the state. This milestone comes on the heels of the CU's first time ever bonus dividend payout. The CU attributes this milestone to the support of its members. CoastHills Federal Credit Union, Lompoc, Calif., recently achieved $500 million in assets and 50,000 members. The CU had a celebration for 110 CoastHills employees and their family members at its newly expanded headquarters in Vandenberg Village to commemorate the milestone. Five year old Ethan Hundley of Vandenberg Air Force Base became the 50,000th member of the CU when he opened up a savings account at the CoastHills' Base Branch on April 25th. For being the 50,000th member, the CU presented Ethan with $500 and donated an additional $500 to the charity of his choice, the Tri-County Make a Wish Foundation. North Jersey Federal Credit Union, Totowa, N.J., was presented with a 70th Anniversary plaque from Robert Walls, president/CEO of the New Jersey Credit Union League, to celebrate 70 years of service.
