LOOMIS, Calif. - Four people suspected of stealing an ATM at Cal Expo on July 4 were arrested in the town of Loomis on July 5. Police investigators believe the four hot-wired a forklift and loaded The Golden One Credit Union ATM onto a vehicle and drove it to a house on James Drive in Loomis. The machine had a tracking device on it and alerted The Golden One's loss-prevention department that it was in Loomis. Officers found the machine, still loaded with cash in the backyard of the house. In addition, officers said they found two Yamaha Wave Runners that were reported stolen from a driveway in Sacramento. A trailer-mounted diesel generator was also found, and investigators think that was stolen, too, according to press reports. Press reports identified Ronnie Lynn Wimberly, 50; Kevin Alan Silva, 45; Fernando Isidro Maloney, 45; and Joseph Michael Cain, 35, as those arrested.
