ELKHART, Ind.- In the true spirit of cooperation Bayer FederalCredit Union and Chiphone Federal Credit Union have teamed up toopen their second partnership branch in two years. That's right twocredit unions building one joint branch that will serve both setsof members. Set to open July 10, the new facility features afamily-friendly atmosphere complete with kids' activity zone,Internet caf and a Wi-Fi area. "This is a unique relationship forboth credit unions to maintain and grow. We are looking forward toanother successful partnership branch with Chiphone Federal CreditUnion," said BFCU CEO Dallas Bergl. CFCU CEO Ron Mazur adds thatjoint ventures can work. "This proves that two well establishedfinancial institutions in the Elkhart area can work together tokeep overhead costs down and provide excellent financial servicesto our members," said Mazur. The new branch will include drive-thruservices, in-branch services and an ATM. According to CU execs theprime location is in an area that has had tremendous growth overthe past few years.
