WEST JORDAN, Utah – For its efforts in helping nearly 300 small businesses last year, Mountain America Credit Union was recently honored by the Small Business Administration.

The $1.8 billion credit union was awarded one of SBA's Utah Small Business Lender awards during a luncheon ceremony held in June. Since Mountain America began offering small business loans two years ago, through its CUSO, Member Business Lending, LLC, they have been the top SBA credit union lender in the country, according to the credit union.

"We're excited to be part of the SBA and it's an honor to be recognized for our commitment to small business," said Curtis Anderson, vice president of SBA lending. "Mountain America Credit Union has been on the forefront of helping small businesses get started and continuing to be there for them as they get ready to expand. "We have an entire business services team that is knowledgeable and available to help with every aspect of a business's needs."
