KANNAPOLIS, N.C. – Southern Select Community Credit Union has elected Dr. Kevin C. McDonald, DPM to its board of directors. "As a physician seeing people from all walks in his medical practice, Kevin understands the important role of the credit union in the community and wants to help it flourish to benefit the lives of others," said President/CEO Huyla Jackson. McDonald is a podiatrist and provides medical and surgical care of the feet from his private practice, Family Foot. He is also a member of the Kannapolis Rotary Club and the Cabarrus Regional Chamber of Commerce. An active in the community, McDonald is a past president of the Statesboro, Georgia Optimist Club, the Jaycees, the Bulloch County Humane Society, Ogeechee Wellness Council and he served on the board of the Georgia Podiatric Medical Association. "I want people to know what a valuable organization this credit union is for the young, old and in-between. It is possible for the people of our entire community to obtain affordable financial services from people who are dedicated only to the needs of its members and not to the passion of stockholders for profits," said McDonald.
