LAS VEGAS – Former CBS Evening News Anchor Dan Rather will keynote the California and Nevada Credit Union Leagues' annual convention this year in Las Vegas.

Rather, currently a correspondent with 60 Minutes, has interviewed every U.S. president since Dwight D. Eisenhower and the major international leaders over the last 30 years. He has received nearly every major honor in broadcast journalism, but left the anchor spot at CBS about a year after he shined a negative light on President Bush's service in the National Guard based on unauthenticated documents. He will appear at the opening general session Nov. 9 speaking about "Looking at the World."

Also speaking at the convention will be Lisa Ling, host of the award-winning documentary series National Geographic Explorer. She also serves as a special contributor for The Oprah Winfrey Show. Prior to joining Explorer, she was a co-host of Barbara Walters' daytime talk show, The View. Ling will be the luncheon speaker Nov. 10, speaking on "A Global Perspective."
