SHARON, Mass. - Everyone loves a parade right? So Sharon Credit Union helped make the city's first Sharon Day Parade memorable. Accompanied by CU Mascot Frugal Freddie and The Aleppo Shriners, Sharon CU volunteers handed out SCU Slinkies and candy along the one-and-a-half mile parade route, which passed by their corporate and branch locations. The Aleppo Shriners, which were sponsored by the credit union, followed closely behind, driving an assortment of zany automobiles, and custom buggies. If that wasn't enough there were also Aleppo clowns and Arabic outfitted men entertaining the parade's onlookers. "This was a terrific event for the community, and Sharon Credit Union is proud to have its employees participate and to sponsor the Shriners' participation in the parade," said Sharon CU Chief Operating Officer Mark Emerson. The event was such a success Sharon CU is gearing up for next year's event.
