SHARON, Mass. - Everyone loves a parade right? So Sharon CreditUnion helped make the city's first Sharon Day Parade memorable.Accompanied by CU Mascot Frugal Freddie and The Aleppo Shriners,Sharon CU volunteers handed out SCU Slinkies and candy along theone-and-a-half mile parade route, which passed by their corporateand branch locations. The Aleppo Shriners, which were sponsored bythe credit union, followed closely behind, driving an assortment ofzany automobiles, and custom buggies. If that wasn't enough therewere also Aleppo clowns and Arabic outfitted men entertaining theparade's onlookers. "This was a terrific event for the community,and Sharon Credit Union is proud to have its employees participateand to sponsor the Shriners' participation in the parade," saidSharon CU Chief Operating Officer Mark Emerson. The event was sucha success Sharon CU is gearing up for next year's event.
