HARRISBURG, Pa. – eCU Technologies, a technology CUSO of Pennsylvania State Employees Credit Union, has added five new credit union clients for its UPost online deposit system, bringing its client count up to 21. UPost was pioneered by PSECU about five years ago amidst heavy criticism that it would be rife with fraud. In fact, it has shown to be one of the lowest fraud channels UPost CUs have. The five are Star One Credit Union ($3 billion, 69,000 members), Power 1 Credit Union ($375 million, 38,000 members), NAPUS Federal Credit Union ($185 million, 31,000 members), CBC Federal Credit Union ($296 million, 21,693 members), and Christian Community Credit Union ($428 million, 27,000 members). UPost allows credit union members to make electronic deposits online, gaining immediate access to their funds while mailing in the actual deposit within a predetermined time. "For our members who normally mail in deposits, the service will provide added convenience, same day credit, plus users can begin to accrue dividends earlier than if they used the normal U.S. Mail," said Star One' Web Services Manager Fred Shuherk
