BLOOMFIELD HILLS, Mich. - T&C Federal Credit Union CEO Dianne Addington has been awarded the Michigan Credit Union League 2006 Distinguished Service Award.

The award automatically includes induction into the Michigan Credit Union Hall of Fame, making Addington the 100th credit union person and the 11th woman, so honored since the Hall of Fame was inaugurated in 1969.

She was recommended by the MCUL Awards Committee as the sole 2006 recipient of the award, which recognizes outstanding contributions made to the Michigan credit union movement.

Addington began her career at T&C FCU in 1971 and was named president/CEO in 1989. Under her leadership, T&C FCU has been recognized with multiple awards for its community involvement. Addington personally has been honored with special recognition by the Sojourner Foundation, the Clinton Valley Council of the Boy Scouts of America and the Pontiac Chamber of Commerce.

"I honestly don't believe there is a day that goes by when she doesn't think about how she can help people less fortunate in her community," said CUNA Vice Chairman Allan Kemp McMorris.

In addition to her service to her own credit union, she has played an active role in the Michigan credit union movement through her involvement with the Oakland County Chapter of Credit Unions and numerous MCUL and CUNA committees and task forces.
