EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon Community Credit Union has paid tribute tothe recently retired board director Donald Moon Lee's 46 years ofdedicated service by creating a $2,500 scholarship in his name thatwill benefit University of Oregon students working in the HousingDepartment. Lee, a former UO Housing Department staff member,served numerous positions for the Oregon Community Board ofDirectors throughout his 46-year tenure, including 33 years on theboard, 13 years on the Credit Committee and 15 years as chairman.In 1999, the Credit Union Association of Oregon presented him witha Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his exceptionalvolunteer work. The credit union has also named Lee its firstEmeritus Director. Lee plans to continue his support of the creditunion movement through his work with such organizations as theWorld Council of Credit Unions and the Credit Union Association ofOregon.
