EUGENE, Ore. - Oregon Community Credit Union has paid tribute to the recently retired board director Donald Moon Lee's 46 years of dedicated service by creating a $2,500 scholarship in his name that will benefit University of Oregon students working in the Housing Department. Lee, a former UO Housing Department staff member, served numerous positions for the Oregon Community Board of Directors throughout his 46-year tenure, including 33 years on the board, 13 years on the Credit Committee and 15 years as chairman. In 1999, the Credit Union Association of Oregon presented him with a Distinguished Service Award in recognition of his exceptional volunteer work. The credit union has also named Lee its first Emeritus Director. Lee plans to continue his support of the credit union movement through his work with such organizations as the World Council of Credit Unions and the Credit Union Association of Oregon.
