BETHLEHEM, Pa. and ARLINGTON, Va. – Edentify, Inc. a provider of identity management solutions, and MyPublicInfo, a consumer identity protection service, have teamed up to give consumers a leg up in the fight against identity theft.
The companies have launched a real-time identity management tool called IdentitySweep (www.identitysweep.com).
Here is how it works. For a monthly fee consumers can scan public records for suspicious activity associated with identity fraud, including attempts to create a synthetic identity. IdentitySweep then analyzes the activity, using Edentify's IDBenchmark solution, to provide a "risk score" that indicates how much and for how long an individual's identity has been compromised. In just the first week of going live IdentitySweep has already passed the 10,000 subscriber mark.
