POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – Hudson Valley Federal Credit Union is mourning the loss of its director emeritus Casper Casparian. Casparian served HVFCU as an unpaid professional for nearly 40 years getting his start as a committee volunteer in 1967, he was later elected to the board in 1969, where he served until his retirement in 2001. Over the years, Casparian served as first vice chairman, assistant treasurer, and treasurer in addition to being a member of numerous committees. After his retirement he continued to serve as a member of the ALCO committee, the compensation and resource management committee and chairman of the annual meeting committee. "Casper loved the credit union", said chairman T.S. Jones. "I had the pleasure of volunteering side by side with Casper for almost four decades. His close ties to the community and belief in the credit union philosophy made him an ideal member representative. On behalf of everyone at HVFCU, we extend our deepest condolences to the Casparian family."
