FORT WORTH, Texas – EECU is helping Liberty Elementary students develop and improve their Spanish language skills.
The credit union recently awarded $1,500 to the school to help fund its after-school Spanish Club.
Students participating in Liberty's Spanish program learn the language through games and activities two days a week. Teacher Eva Valenzuela says the group's number one rule is "no English allowed". She says the various games that the group plays enable the students to "learn phrases, verbs, and adjectives, and to say simple sentences."
