ANTHEM, Ariz. – Desert Schools Federal Credit Union recently hosted its charity golf tournament raising money for the Children's Miracle Network and Phoenix Children's Hospital. Desert Schools and its business partners raised $100,000 for CMN to be used for the Phoenix Children's Hospital "One Darn Cool School" program. This year's golf tournament was held at the Anthem Country Club and though Desert Schools hosts fundraising events for CMN throughout the year, the golf tournament is the largest single-day event.
Along with the 18-hole tournament, the event featured a donation presentation ceremony, prizes and contests, including longest drive and closest to the pin competitions.
"We could not have done it without our business partners who sponsor our event," stated Rondle K. Amstutz, vice president/chief information officer and tournament chair. "Their level of participation is what makes this possible and it is for such a great cause."
