NEW ORLEANS – The National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys planned to hold a special workshop May 20 free of charge to Hurricane Katrina survivors.

NACBA volunteers were on hand at the New Orleans Marriott Hotel to provide assistance to consumers seeking help with filing for bankruptcy following the massive storm. "If you are a Katrina survivor who is concerned about a growing debt problem, facing home foreclosure, unsure of your rights when it comes to a mortgage, car payment or credit card bills, or facing bill collectors who are hounding you, please attend this free, no-obligation seminar," NACBA Executive Director Brad Botes said. "NACBA members have been at the forefront of speaking out on behalf of Katrina victims and this is another way for our members to demonstrate how deeply our commitment and concern runs."
