EAST WINDSOR, N.J. – On Thursday, April 27, the McGraw-Hill Employees Federal Credit Union participated in The McGraw-Hill Companies, "Take Our Children To Work Day" programming. The all-day event is designed to introduce children to careers and opportunities available to them in the workplace.

All eyes were on the MHEFCU mascot, Dollar Dog, when he made a surprise appearance at the event. Dollar Dog encouraged the over 70 children to become money savvy at an early age.

During the presentation, the group of eight to 12 year olds learned all about what a credit union is and does and how and when to use ATMs.

They then had their knowledge put to the test during a game of "Dollar Dog Bingo." Prizes included Frisbees, lunch bags and a high-five and hug from Dollar Dog himself.

All of those in attendance were photographed with Dollar Dog and received a "doggy" bag filled with a money notepad, stickers, pencils and erasers, a baseball and information about the Dollar Dog Kids Club for kids up to age 12.
