WASHINGTON – CUNA and NAFCU are working under the auspices of America’s Credit Unions to scour Capitol Hill with a print ad letting the bankers’ know it is time to “knock it off.”

The ad, featuring a credit union member, is just the latest effort in a series of advertisements the credit unions have been running that have pointed out the community banks’ real problems come from larger banks and highlighting Congressman Butch Otter’s (R-Idaho) strong support for credit unions. NAFCU Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Dan Berger explained the ad campaign “is an effort by NAFCU, CUNA and CUNA Mutual to inform folks of the truth about the bankers’ attacks on credit unions.”
