After reading the April 26 issue, especially the letters section, I was amazed by the logic of Marv Umholtz, consultant to the conversion effort of DFCU Financial. He must be pretty high powered to get the turndown results and then criticize the outcome of the vote! Maybe Marv needs to find a new toy, this one seems to be broken.
Then on the next page America's Community Bankers President Diane Casey-Landry wants to help us by suggesting how NCUA should step out of the way and allow all conversions to be approved. Talk about wolves in sheep's clothing. Those two letters demonstrate how much, or little, these two writers know about credit unions and democracy.
Keep up the good work, you are doing a great job. Wylie R. Dougherty Retired CUNA Executive Peoria, Ariz.
