WARNER ROBINS, Ga. – In honor of board director Jack G. Byrd Jr.’s 30 years of service, Robins Federal Credit Union has named its new learning center after him. With training as a longtime credit union focus, the Jack G. Byrd Jr. Learning Center was designed to further expand the scope of teaching and training here. The state-of-the-art 10,000 square-foot facility boasts two floors with classroom space that allows Robins Federal to have four classrooms. Two classrooms seat about 70 people each and two seat about 45 people each, all with collapsible walls that can be moved to create one large open room that could seat up to 500 people. The facility also hosts offices and room for future growth. The new center will allow Robins Federal to log in its 2006 goal of 8,760 training hours for the over 350 employees, the presentation of 30 free financial seminars, day to day meetings and other events. In addition, the facility houses the training, marketing, and human resources departments. “This building represents the coming of a new age for Robins Federal Credit Union,” said CEO John Ruffin. “It symbolizes to some extent the ways in which Robins Federal is rapidly moving forward to integrate new developments in the education of employees, which in turn will enable us to better serve our membership.”
