SHERMAN OAKS, Calif. – In a move it says will allow the company to more efficiently handle greater volume and enhance the auto-buying services it provides to credit union members, Autoland is expanding its call center 70% with additional personnel and will soon extend its geographic reach. Autoland, one of the largest credit union auto buying services, says the call center expansion is part of a larger initiative to improve the company's overall auto-buying service, a process that began last year when Autoland was acquired by Zag, a technology company based in Santa Monica, Calif. It's continuing with the implementation currently underway of Zag's new state-of-the-art technology platform, which will enable end-to-end online auto-buying transactions. When the implementation is completed, it will provide Autoland with additional purchasing power to allow CUs to deliver better pricing and wider selection of vehicles for their members. Autoland continues to work exclusively with credit unions as it has since 1971 when it was founded. It now operates as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Zag.
