MODESTO, Calif.-Credit union members within the readership of The Modesto Bee learned of yet another phishing scam last week. The paper reported that credit union members have been receiving an e-mail that appears to come from the NCUA stating that it is creating a member database but actually it is part of a phishing scam. The agency does not solicit personal information via e-mail, according to the article. It is recommended that people who receive the e-mail delete the message without clicking on any links and report the incident to local law enforcement.
