LAS VEGAS - What better way to celebrate Youth Week than to donate to an organization that promotes financial literacy? Nevada Federal Credit Union has donated $10,000 to the Nevada Jump$tart Coalition, which will be applied towards educational workshops for teachers, promoting financial resource materials, and spreading the word on financial literacy. "We are pleased to assist the Nevada Jump$tart Coalition spread the word about financial literacy," said Nevada Federal President/CEO Brad Beal. "The key is getting the word out to our teachers that they have educational resources that are free or that have minimal costs associated with them." The Nevada Jump$tart Coalition, is a statewide, all volunteer, nonprofit association affiliated with the National Jump$tart Coalition for Personal Financial Literacy. It consists of individuals and organizations representing various career fields in business, government, and education who have joined together to improve the personal financial literacy of Nevada's youth.
