MADISON, Wis. – The Credit Union Development Education Program will be managed by Tom Decker, a former director of executive development for CUNA and director of the CUNA management school, according to the National Credit Union Foundation. Decker began his job as program manager for the well-known education program after the last CUDE workshop. Decker will lead the foundation's effort to expand the development education program's reach. "I believe what makes me uniquely qualified to successfully lead the program is that the credit union/cooperative philosophy is part of my core values," explained Decker. "I believe we are required to live a life of service, not only to the underserved, but to all. We must be vigilant in holding to living a life that has integrity and teach that businesses give back to their communities' many-fold." "With over 25 years as a professional educator, Tom Decker brings a proven track record in credit union and cooperative philosophy, program management, and creative problem-solving," said NCUF Executive Director Steve Delfin. "His experience is essential as we look to grow more leaders in the credit union movement who will embrace and sustain credit unions' competitive advantage in the modern marketplace."
