SANDTOWN-WINCHESTER, Md. – On March 4, a group of approximately 75 friends, neighbors and well-wishers gathered here for the dedication of the most recent house completed for Habitat for Humanity. For the past six months, the new homeowners worked along side volunteers from MDDCCUA, MECU of Baltimore Inc., SECU Credit Union, Black and Decker and Provident Bank to rehab the brick shell into a modern two-bedroom town-home. The volunteers did everything from installing floor joists and wallboard to laying carpet and painting walls. Sandtown Habitat for Humanity staff provided project management and training to ensure all construction was up to code. With the house complete, everyone welcomed Robert and Regina Kohl into their new home. The Kohls invited everyone inside for a "house-warming" and Black and Decker presented them with several appliances.
