LINTHICUM, Md. – State Employees CU, the largest in the state, has become a sponsor of Credit Union Miracle Day and the 2006 Credit Union Cherry Blossom 10-mile Run that will be held April 2 on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. In addition to the CU's sponsorship of the vent, a group of credit union employees plan to volunteer during the race and cheer on the 10,000 runners. SECU Vice President of Marketing Sharon Sykes said SECU employees "are honored to support such a worthwhile cause." She added that, "SECU is excited that credit unions all over the U.S. are raising money and awareness for the Credit Union Miracle Day, but more importantly, we are proud to support the Children's Miracle Network, affiliated medical centers and hospitalized children." SECU has $1.5 billion in assets and approximately 243,000 members.
