KINGSPORT, Tenn.- Olan Jones shared the credit union message with one of the nation’s oldest associations. The CEO of $1.5 billion Eastman Credit Union recently spoke at the 55th annual meeting of the Midwest Finance Association held in Chicago. The MFA is considered the oldest and one of the largest associations in the United States for the advancement of finance and economics. Its members are primarily business school faculty from a broad range of colleges and universities. The MFA publishes The Quarterly Review of Finance and Economics. At the meeting held March 22-25, Jones delivered the James A. Gentry Distinguished Financial Executive Presentation. His presentation was on “The Value and Impact of Credit Unions on the Financial Services Industry.” Other featured speakers were Nobel Laureate Robert Engle of New York University and Ravi Jugannathan, distinguished professor, Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.
