RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The "Cat in the Hat" and "Thing 1," from the Dr. Seuss book "The Cat in the Hat," represented Service Plus Credit Union at two Riverside elementary schools in honor of "Read Across America." The program, "Read Across America" is held to celebrate the birthday of Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and volunteer readers visit schools nationwide to read to children. This year, Emily Pearl and Sharilyn Hunke, employees of Service Plus, visited Highland Elementary and Jefferson Elementary and read to over 700 children.
