WEOKIE CU Adds Spanish Web Site

OKLAHOMA CITY – Spanish-speaking members and nonmembers of WEOKIE Credit Union who want to view product information, rates, loan information and other information in Spanish online can now use the CU’s Spanish version of its Web site. All they have to do is go to www.weokie.org, and click the “En Espanol” button for the Spanish text. The CU said the Web site will be an on-going “work in progress that will continue to grow and change as WEOKIE’s vendors and business partners begin to support Spanish in their operations.” WEOKIE President/CEO Marvin Cottom said, “It was necessary to answer the needs of our Spanish speaking members. Among other initiatives, we have put a good portion of our staff through conversational Spanish classes so they feel more comfortable with our members who prefer to communicate in Spanish.” WEOKIE CU has approximately $447 million in assets and more than 54,000 members.
