BETHESDA, Md. – The Allpoint network, the ATM network which provides cardholders surcharge-free access to more than 32,000 ATMs nationwide in exchange for a monthly fee from the card issuing institution, announced it has signed almost a billion dollar credit union. The $952 million Texas Dow Employees Credit Union, headquartered in Lake Jackson, close by to Galveston, brought the majority of its 85,000 members to the surcharge-free network in the deal. "At TDECU, we strive to offer our members the best possible service," said Ronald Wright, delivery director for the credit union. "Partnering with Allpoint is a natural fit to help us meet that goal." Earlier this year, Allpoint Network was purchased by Cardtronics, its previous ATM partner and is now a subsidiary of the ATM deployer.
