COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Seeking to expand its reach into the Denver and Pueblo markets, Ent Federal Credit Union announced this month it has plans to add four high-tech service branches in 2006. “We are looking now for property in Denver,” said a spokesman, citing plans to have a service center facility opened there by year-end. The $1.8 billion Ent, the state’s largest, established a presence on the edge of Denver several years following a CU merger on an air force base. Ent, now with 20 branches and 160,000 members, opened its newest facility Jan 28 in Stetson Hills marked by a ceremony drawing 1,000 dignitaries including a group of state lawmakers. “We were overwhelmed by the record-breaking number of people who turned out,” said an Ent press release. The event received media coverage including an article in a Colorado business journal. The timetable calls for the next service center to open in Monument/Jackson Creek “taking advantage of growth along the I-25 corridor” followed later by branches in Pueblo and metro Denver. Ent’s FOM encompasses four Colorado counties: El Paso, Pueblo, Denver and Teller.
