DENVER – Bellco Credit Union has partnered with Digital Insight Corp.’s Member Business Services to help grow and retain its online business services membership. The $1.57 billion CU will work with the firm’s platform, a cash management solution that helps business members manage their accounts, understand their cash position, make payments to their vendors, process payroll and take advantage of automatic account alerts and sweeps. Bellco’s member businesses will also have access to wire and book transfers, ACH transactions, check reordering and Web Connect, a feature that enables QuickBooks and Microsoft Money users to “seamlessly” interact with their personal financial management software. Under the terms of the agreement, Bellco will also have opportunity to leverage Digital Insight’s proprietary growth and retention program, a set of best practice marketing initiatives with training programs, sales tools and creative materials that encourage business members to utilize more online products and services, according to the company. Bellco, which had been seeking a proven partner to help grow and retain its online business services membership, cited Digital Insight’s “breadth of experience in the online cash management market place and its ability to provide businesses with a wide array of advanced self-service tools” as critical to its decision. “Our agreement will enable us to expand our use of technology and provide member businesses with a full range of products and services, while extending our strategic growth initiatives,” said Doug Ferraro, Bellco president. Open Technology Solutions, LLC, a CUSO owned by $2 billion Bethpage FCU, Bellco CU, and $1.4 billion First Tech CU, has also selected Digital Insight’s Member Business Services to supplement its own retail-focused online banking solutions. OTS Executive Director Steven Markwell said the new alliance will ” further (enable) credit unions like Bellco to provide comprehensive business services to their members while helping deliver business results to the institution.” “ Small businesses represent a significant growth opportunity for credit unions, but properly serving them requires credit unions to have the right online tools,” said Jeff Stiefler, chairman, Digital Insight. “(The company’s) Member Business Services was created to meet this need.” As of Sept. 30, 2005, more than 101,000 businesses were actively using Digital Insight’s online banking platforms, according to the company, which serves more than1,700 financial institutions nationwide. -
