ARLINGTON, Va.-NAFCU is looking for a few good men, women and credit unions for nominations involving three of its annual awards programs. All NAFCU-member natural person credit unions are eligible for the awards, including the Federal Credit Union of the Year, Professional of the Year and Volunteer of the Year-each divided by more than $150 million in assets or less than $150 million. NAFCU's Marketing Awards include seven different categories: Best Membership Promotion, Best Lending Promotion, Best Product or Service Promotion, Best Member Newsletter, Best Annual Report, Best Promotional Campaign and Best Web Site, divided by asset size. Finally, there are the Grassroots Activism Awards, including the Paul Revere Award for grassroots activist of the year and the White Hat Award for the most funds raised for NAFCU/PAC, the trade's political action committee. Members 1st Federal Credit Union has already been named for that award for the third year running having raised nearly $80,000 for the PAC in 2005. All entries are due by March 20 except for the Paul Revere Award, due Aug. 1. Entries can be submitted at www.nafcu.org.awards or get an entry form by calling (800)344-5580. Winners will be announced at NAFCU's 39th Annual Conference & Exhibition to be held July 12-15 in Toronto.
