PITTSFIELD, Mass. – To help develop and maintain relationships with area businesses and civic organizations, Greylock Federal Credit Union has hired a former United Way president. The $819 million CU has hired Dan Dillon as its relationship development officer. Dillon recently retired from his position at Berkshire County United Way here after serving as president from 1993 to 2005. Greylock FCU Angelo Stracuzzi said Dillon fits nicely with the CU because of his dedication to building surrounding communities. A former Pittsfield City councilman from 1977 to 1981, Dillon has also worked at General Electric and served with several local labor groups. Dillon said his experience with United Way has provided him the opportunity to see firsthand the role that credit unions play in building communities, including Greylock's own volunteer hours and resources its employees have given to many charitable causes. Greylock offers an array of business deposit and lending services to its nearly 60,000 members.
