NEW YORK – The more than 200 auto dealership members belonging to the General Motors Minority Dealers Association (GMMDA) now have another resource for small business products and services through Newtek Business Services, Inc. Newtek will offer GMMDA its line of business and financial services including loans, merchant processing and insurance to assist dealers with developing and growing their businesses. "Our new partnership will be instrumental as we continue to pursue our mission of promoting and protecting the viability and profitability of our GM minority dealers," said Marjorie Staten, GMMDA executive director. Newtek Chairman/CEO Barry Sloane said the company is "(looking) forward to a long term relationship" with GMMDA." The company has also signed a deal to provide services to National Physician Care, Inc., an association of approximately 2,200 practices and 5,000 physicians.
