SAN ANTONIO – With the match up of two undefeated teams many watched the Rose Bowl to see whether University of Texas or University of Southern California would be the national champion. In what has been touted as “the greatest bowl game of all time” University of Texas’ Longhorns snatched victory with just 19 seconds left in the game. While the entire state of Texas celebrated, Security Service Federal Credit Union Senior Vice President of Lending Mike Chapman perhaps cheered loudest as he was a former Longhorn football player and UT graduate. To mark the National Championship win SSFCU has hosted a Longhorn Pride Day with staffers donning University of Texas gear. “It’s been a long time coming,” said Chapman. “It’s not only an honor for the team, but for the great state of Texas.”
