WASHINGTON-Treasury Secretary John Snow has named Larry R. Felix the new director of the department's Bureau of Engraving and Printing, succeeding Tom Ferguson. The Bureau produces U.S. currency and other government securities and documents at its two facilities in Washington, D.C., and Fort Worth, Texas. For the last 13 years, Felix has served as deputy director, but has been with the Treasury Department for 23 years. As director, Felix will work to meet the challenges of technological advancements and fight counterfeiting. He will also ensure the bureau's resources are appropriate to meet the needs of its customer agencies.
