TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – BrightStar Credit Union President/CEO Raffael Crockett has been appointed to Southeast Corporate Federal Credit Union's supervisory committee. Crockett replaces Moss Point, Mississippi-based Singing River FCU President/CEO Jimmy Smith, Jr., who resigned following Hurricane Katrina, to concentrate his efforts on rebuilding his credit union. Prior to becoming CEO at BrightStar, Crockett served as president and CEO of BSCU Services Corp., a CUSO owned by BrightStar CU. He also served as the credit union's vice president of business development. Crockett joins four other members of Southeast's supervisory committee chaired by Southeast Corporate board member Chris Rutledge who is President/CEO of Gulf Winds FCU. Other members of the committee include: Redstone FCU CFO Kathy Cook, JetStream FCU President/CEO William Gregg, Jr., and Insight Financial CU President/CEO Lynn Owen.
