PLANO, Texas – Southwest Corporate reported that it has connected 100 credit union branches to its Branch Capture service. The 100 branches are spread among 39 credit unions stretching from Florida to New Mexico. The corporate has only been offering Branch Capture for nine months. Participating credit unions can scan member deposits at the branch level and transmit them electronically to Southwest Corporate, saving on courier costs and giving faster access to funds. Cutting out couriers can be a major cost savings for some credit unions, said Robert Hall, manager of Southwest Corporate’s Branch Capture Support Team. “It’s about saving money and being more efficient,” said Hall. According to the corporate, dozens more credit unions are in the pipeline to become Branch Capture users.
