ANN ARBOR, Mich. – MidWest Financial Credit Union and UMHSFinancial have donated $1,270 to the Michigan Credit UnionFoundation. Funds collected by the Michigan Credit Union Foundationfrom credit unions statewide will be split between the American RedCross for humanitarian aid and the World Council of Credit Unionsfor credit union rebuilding in the hurricane-devastated areas.“Fundraising efforts like this are part of credit unions'fundamental philosophy of people helping people,” said MidWestFinancial President/CEO Larry Knoll. “Through the generosity of ourmembers and our staff, we are able to make a difference and helpthose whose lives have been impacted by the hurricanes.” Fundraiserefforts ranged from member donations, a bake sale, a jewelry sale,and monthly Jeans For Charity events.
