Consumers Cooperative Credit Union, Waukegan, Ill., longtime board member Sam Filippo has died at the age of 82. Filippo was first elected to the Consumers Cooperative CU board in 1992 and during his term he served on the credit committee and the nominating committee. During his eight years of volunteer service, Filippo played an integral part in shaping the long-term direction of the credit union and in helping find more ways to add value to the credit union's members.
