ALEXANDRIA, Va.-NCUA Vice Chairman Rodney Hood announced late last year that he has named Carlton L. Hoskins to serve as his senior policy advisor. Hoskins will advise the vice chairman on policy and regulatory matters. “I am extremely pleased to welcome Carlton Hoskins to NCUA, as he has extensive public and private sector experience, which will be a valued asset to the agency,” Hood said. “Carlton has been a trusted advisor and will be instrumental in the agency's success.” Hoskins has more than 11 years of public and private sector work experience, most recently as a management consultant with Booz Allen Hamilton. Prior to joining the international consulting firm, he served as the senior legislative assistant to Senator Arlen Specter (R-Pa.). Hoskins also has served as a military aide at the White House and chief of counterintelligence for the Defense Special Weapons Agency. “It is an honor to join the Administration and I look forward to serving at the NCUA,” Hoskins said. “I have always appreciated the role of credit unions and look forward to being a part of advancing safe and sound credit union policy.” Hoskins earned a B.S. in political science from the United States Air Force Academy and completed the Defense Intelligence Agency's Post-Graduate Intelligence Program. The NCUA executive assistant position has been renamed senior policy advisor.
