Point Plus Credit Union, Stevens Point, Wis., has held a ribbon cutting event to celebrate the opening of its Plover branch. Designed by design/build firm La Macchia Group, LLC, the 4,000 square-foot facility was completed in about four and a half months and features a 1,500 square foot basement and four drive-up lanes. Wescom Credit Union, Pasadena, Calif., has celebrated the opening of its 12th in-store branch. Located in Albertsons’ Heritage Marketplace store, the new branch features four teller windows, ATM, plasma screens, rate board, and a self-help area with a computer, printer, and phone. In addition, the branch has an office for assisting members with new accounts and loan closings. Arlington Virginia Federal Credit Union, has tapped design/build firm PWCampbell for its 31,000 square-foot new main office. The facility will be the new home for all main office operational departments and will contain a new full service retail branch including some 5,000 square feet of space for tenant usage. SAFE Credit Union, Sacramento, Calif., has moved to a new state-of-the-art facility in Antelope. Measuring nearly 7,000 square-feet, the new facility features SAFE’s interactive account application system. Prospective and current credit union members will be able to select financial products and services in an environment similar to shopping online. In addition the environment is designed to be both attractive and functional. Greater Niles Community Federal Credit Union, Mich., has broken ground on its new Cassopolis branch. The new facility is slated to open late spring of 2006. American Heritage Federal Credit Union, Philadelphia, has broken ground on its New Britain Bororugh branch. Scheduled to be completed in 2006 the 9,200 square foot retail branch will feature six teller stations, four member service offices, an Internet cafe, and coin counting machine. There will also be a drive through with two lanes and an ATM. Members Credit Union, Cleburne, Texas, has hosted a ground breaking ceremony for its new Burleson, Texas branch. The branch will be approximately 2,800 square-feet with a four lane drive-thru, drive up ATM and future expansion capability. It will also feature the latest technology designed to improve member service and enhance security. The new branch is expected to open in April 2006.
