BILOXI, Miss. – Just in time for the holidays Keesler Federal Credit Union has disbursed some $4,572,783 to 15,667 of its members as part of its 2005 Christmas Savings account program. The total represents a 34% increase over the 2004 Christmas Savings figures. Dividends of 1.75% were paid on these accounts. The credit union’s Christmas Savings is a specialized savings program designed to help members save early for the holidays. Members have an opportunity to avoid the general headache and stress of dealing with credit card debt generated by purchasing holiday gifts. Members are encouraged to open their Christmas Savings accounts until the end of January 2006 for the 2006 holiday season.
