PEORIA, Ill. – CEFCU has lent a hand to the relief efforts stemming from Hurricanes Katrina and Rita. CEFCU employees, board of directors, and retirees donated over $10,000 to hurricane relief organizations. Providing a matching corporate donation donated a total of over $20,000 to the Central Illinois Chapter of the American Red Cross. Funds will be used to help send much needed relief supplies, specialized disaster relief experts, and financial aid to states devastated by the recent hurricanes. “Our hearts go out to the hurricane victims for the many losses they have suffered. The destruction that has been left is enormous. And, CEFCU’s staff and board of directors immediately wanted to help,” said CEFCU President/CEO Eldon Arnold.
